Great in-room onsen, warm water. Separate onsen for different temperatures. High quality, expensive meals. Delicious plum wine and warm sake. Convenient location in main part of town. Very friendly staff.
Nothing, all great.

The in-room onsen was very enjoyable, especially in cold weather. The quality of the food was great, and the plum wine and warm sake were delicious. The staff was friendly, despite language barriers. The hotel's location was central and convenient.
Nothing to mention.

The private onsen in the room is the best thing ever for a romantic escape. the warm water is perfect for cold nights. If you want something cooler, the separate onsens downstairs are also great. the food really stands out as the best aspect of the experience. the plum wine is a must-try and the warm sake will make you feel cozy. the location is also key, as everything you need is within walking distance.
There were a couple of small things we didn't like. the pillows were a bit weird and caused some neck stiffness, but nothing that can't be solved with some extra fluff.

The hot springs in the room were relaxing after a long day. The food quality was impressive, and the warm sake was delicious. The location was convenient since it was close to a few shops and other accommodation.
The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and the bean-type design didn't help. despite our request for no meat, the staff gave it to us.

Located in a quaint and charming town, this ryokan offers both in, room and public onsen options. the meals are notably delicious with high, quality dishes and beverages. the staff may not speak much English, but they are friendly and accommodating. the rooms are comfortable and provide a cozy atmosphere, with convenient amenities like plum wine and warm sake. For trekkers and those seeking relaxation, this ryokan ticks off all the boxes. Don't miss the opportunity to experience a traditional, Japanese, style ryokan.
Avoid the bean type pillows as they may cause neck stiffness.
